chassis ground

does anybody know where the main chassis ground is on a 08 rmk 700, only ground im finding is on the bottom plate by the ecm, increasing your IQ shows a ground in the left footwell area but im not finding it ,I want to clean and add the grounds as in Ericw posts, thanks in advance

That will be the only ground you will find. I added a ground wire from there to the plate the ECU is mounted on and ran a ground wire from the engine to the ECU plate. The only ground for the engine to the chassis is a wire that is running from a stator mounting bolt up to the chassis ground point, which is only a 14Ga. wire in the harness from the engine. Most felt that it needed more help to keep the electronics safe.

On mine I did run a 12 gauge wire from the recoil to the harness ground on the belt guard plate, and a 12 gauge one to replace the stock one from that plate to the Ecu plate over the belt guard. And put the stock ground cable from the belt guard/ecu plate to make a recoil to frame ground.
