An IQ track change probably could be done in 20 minutes by a couple of folks with all the right stuff (18v impact wrenches and knowledge). I fancy a two hour ordeal as good work. The IQ is the easiest chassis to change the track on.
1) Loosen track all the way. 2) Remove exhaust system; remove chaincase cover and remove gears and chain; remove belt and driven pully. 3) Loosen rear suspension bolts. 4) Turn sled on to its left side and release tension on the right torsion spring; remove right side rear suspension bolts. 5) Turn sled onto its right side, release tension on the left torsion spring and remove the left side suspension bolts; remove rear skid. 6) Remove the six left side drive axle bearing support bolts; juggle things about and the axle will pull up, releasing the chaincase side and the axle will come out and the track is out. Reverse this procedure to install. First time out, plan for a few hours, a few beers, and some head-banger music.
I have performed 7 track changes this season so far. And then, when you have mastered the IQ, try an XP Ski-Doo.
