No tensioners OR ability for adjustment of C-2-C dimension of the pulleys?
What is the average operational RPM of the system?
Pulley diameter # of teeth engaged.
Dang... 4.75" wide... that is HUGE!!
I've used the Gates Carbon GT belts (a step up from the Kevlar in terms of strength) in marine Drop-Drives in the past... serious HP no issues... we were able to adjust the C-2-C dimension (not a fixed center drive).... Lower speed and wide belts like yours
.
This particular application does have a tensioner, only for tracking and take-up, there is no way to get the perfect c-c on this app. The tiller runs an 8"-10" combo at only around 500 rpm. It's crazy looking...
But most of these type of drives are run without. We run a high speed case sealer adjustement with a 12mm wide belt at 7,000 rpm, (very heavy adj) all day long back and forth, no problems, no tensioner).
