o.k. need a little help on this project. wanna put in a 16x156 c.e. 2.5" lug track on the existing stock skid. i would like to move the skid back 2 to 3 inches to in order to improve the approach angle , i know i will have to go with different drop brackets to make the 16 inch wide track fit , has anyone done this, do i need different rails . any help would be great and pics as well. thanks

k-mod drop brackets and rail extensions, go 162 and grin. if you move skid back be sure to get antistab kit. actaully should have them anyways. turn the bolts around in the tunnel in the front, forget if any other things.

Debating the same thing or just going with a 162 powerclaw. I always liked the 16" wide on my ski-doos. But have heard amazing things with the powerclaw. But you also change the approach angle with the 156 as well.

i had a 156 with a big wheel kit on my nytro it worked ok . lots of grinding and flipped a couple bolts around and it fit in the tunnel . I would go look at an 2010 and look at how the skid is mounted and the diffrences . Try to replacate the geometry of it on youre sled . that should get a safe attack angel that works :beer;

I debated the 15 16 thing long and hard and decided to go back to a 15 on my Nytro just to see. I think the 156 15 2.5 CE is a perfect match for the Nytro power and chassis. Turboed up it would need more track but non turbo it works very well from my experience.

I vote 15 wide. I've run both widths and there is a noticable difference in handling(IMO).

well thanks for the input guys. i think the 16 wide would help with floatation does anyone have any experience with the powerclaw.

tracks canada told me the are like a crazy carpet comming down hill. i stuck with the camo on my replacement track.

Hi, i was wondering, now after a while, does the 2.5 tracks fit or does it need to be cut some ? Thinking of the vibrate issues due to the small place between the track and cooler ?

156` Como x

Thanks

I changed out the 16 wide camo for the powerclaw on my XP 860 last year. Thought I'd try something new. Dont think it was any better, maybe a tiny bit less trench in powder, the camo ex. definitley hooks up better on everything else. The 2.5 camo IMO is a better track, especially if you may boost some day.

thanks for all input guys, does anyone know if i move the skid back for the 156" track if i will need different rails. im just waiting for the elk bowhunt to be over so i can dig into this project.
