Went to climax first weekend in January, was worst I have ever seen and I have been riding that spot since '98, I was depressed for days.

I am sure they have gotten some snow with the last storms though.

Give us an update if you go...

I am thinking of taking my grandson for the first time ever (4 yrs old)... Obviously I don't want to overdo it and want to keep it as simple as possible. Might just do a trail ride up at Cottonwood instead.

Yes, not the place for a 4 year old.

If you are set for Leadville area, you may want to check out Turquiose Lake, groomed trail with some side meadows and small single track trails. Been taking my son there since he was 3.
