i changed the chaincase oil in my sled, i found several small pieces of chain in the oil. should I get a new chain?

The best thing you can do is get the TEAM Hyvo gears and chain. If you go Doo, get a 15 wifde top gear and a new 15w chain, you can use your 13w bottom gear. The '06 was notorious for broken chain plates for some reason.
Check with your dealer--that I know of--most of these were covered under warrenty--faulty chain (subed out work)and BRP just waited for them to break--which usually included blowing a hole in the chaincase. Did not seem to be anymore problems with them once BRP replaced with the new chain.

Put 2700 miles on my 06 with no chain issues at all.
Almost 9000km on mine now... Its done its time, a few times over!
Hell, the chaincase was one of the few pieces to live through the crash (smoked a colvert @70, totaled) and is on the new sled i built...
Edit: Oh, BTW i beat the ever living chit out of it too
Sled is still under warranty, unfortunately i got the sled from Anytime PowerSports in Sacramento, and they don't sell ski doos anymore
