Chaincase Lower Gear

Anyone know what the biggest gear is you can put in the bottom on an 01 and an 02?

Right now we have a 47 in one of our 01's, but not sure if we can go bigger than 47, and also wondering if a 50 will fit in the 02.

Thanks.

I was checking on Doo Talk a while back, on the same thing. 47 is it. You might be able to lower the top gear. Mine came with a 19 on top.

I have a 17top and 47 lower with a little room left under the bottom, not much. HiPerf Engineering shows a 49 tooth available. Would they sell it if it wouldn't fit?

Holy Canoly! Pretty low gearing, how does the chain/top gear hold up? What size driver/track you running?

Right now my dad's is running the 17/47 on 9 tooth non-extrovert drivers and is turning a 15x156 challenger. His track is like a rubberband, soon to change this fall to extroverts. My 01 and my brother's 02 are running 18/45 on 9 tooth. My dad is able to tractor around like nobody's business. So far everything has held up just fine, and he has been running that setup for a while now.

My brother on the 02 was just curious how deep he could get since he is turning a 16x159 challenger.

the 156 like a finale somwheres around 2.4 ish . and your 2.76 ,That puts the secondary in a position to slip the belt/heat Hmmm

I just put an 18 top and 48 bottom on mine. Slower track speed = cooler clutches and cooler belt.

Yea, that's what I was trying to go for, but I'm pretty sure 47 is as big as I can go on the bottom on my 01. Good to know my brother with the 02 can stuff a 48 in his.
