Chaincase Alignment

I have a 2014 ST on a 2011 KX450F. Last ride I had the drive shaft bearing go out on the chain case side. Pulled everything apart and replaced both drive shaft bearings. Last night i put everything back together, but drive shaft sprocket is out of alignment with the other sprockets. It is about a 1/4" closer to the tunnel than the other 2. The sprocket is flush with the end of the drive shaft, but when I look on the inside of the drive shaft side bearing, there is about an 1/8" of space that the shaft can move in and out. Any suggestions?

Sure you didn't get a spacer mixed up and in the wrong place? How many rides did you have on your kit?

Bent side panels? When I hit a rock with my chaincase cover it bent my side panels and my drive bearings failed.

Sounds like a spacer issue when the bearings start to fail they lock up and the shaft spins inside this will wear the sides of the spacers, bent side plates wont cause this issue since this whole shaft loads with the sprocket bearings brake hub and spacers and the inside bearing is mounted to steel frame tube, when everything is assembled on the shaft there should be about 1/16 space between sprocket and end of shaft so when the bolt is tightened all shoulders come up snug. Spacer widths 1.160, .300, 1.910,.452
