Chain case removal?

Anyone done a chain case removal on a 900? I need to change out the jack shaft seal, and I have a few questions.

-Will slacking off the track tension all the way be enough to slide the drive shaft over to the pto side to get the chain case out?

-The four chain case bolts.... will they stay in place? or will I have to create access to them from behind?

So far, I have the jack shaft out.... was hoping to be able to pop a new jack shaft seal into the chain case without removal, but I can see now that the brake rotor will not come out until the chain case has been removed or at least loose and tilted a bit.

Yes, but.............. the drive shaft is too long.
Its has to come out by pushing the loose track up out of the way while pushing towards the case side, which has to be loose on the chassis, when the PTO side drops out, angle it down a bit and pull out of case bearing.

They are round head carriage bolts, most of time they stay in........ 2 of mine came out and it was hell getting them in again.

See above reply
Change both jackshaft and drive axle bearings while you have the case off.

Thanks! The drive shaft got an All Balls kit at the start of this season so I see no need to change them again, but I have an All Balls kit for the jack shaft that is going in. I was hoping I did not have to remove the drive shaft but oh well:face-icon-small-dis

Just trying to get the old girl to run for another month or so.... till I can start riding my dirt bike. 2013 pro 163 for me next year! how sick do those white snowchecks look?!!!
