chain and gears?

so i messed something up in the chaincase this weekend. havent tore into yet luckily got it out of the backcountry. guessin i snapped the chain, im looking at gearing it down a tooth or two if possible. just wondering what you guys recommend for the chain and what gearing, i have stock gearing now. its an 800efi with a 156" and 8 tooth extros. thanks

are the drivers 3.0 or 2.52 pitch?

i did this to my king cat after breaking a chain

I would change from the stock 19/43 gearing to a 20/46 gearing. To go to 20/46 you need a 74 pitch chain. The bigger top gear helps to not brake chains. The smaller gears tend to kink the chain a bit. This gearing is lower by .12 but it actually helps track speed. A tiny bit lower gear helps the clutches shift out further and therefor give you higher track speeds.

i got both borg warner hyvo gears and the hyvo chain for i think around 160$ from our arctic cat dealer

what is your current gearing? If its stock, then you should keep in mind that the 8T drivers already provide a significant gearing reduction from your stock 9T drivers.

gearing now is stock, just tore into it and the chain is messed up, and now i cant even spin the jackshaft, guessing a bearing is seized i know the one on the secondary side has less than 50 miles on it.
