Center driver, remove?

I have my drive shaft out to do my D&R/track change, and I'm wondering if I should cut out my center driver? I know some guys do, to prevent the ice build up issue. I have never had that issue, but thought I would ask since I have it out right now. Is it worth keeping in there? Or should I cut it out and never have to worry about the ice issue?

I have never had the ice issue either and now that my track has streched out I have no issues with racheting, so I don't think it would make much difference.

That's kinda what I'm thinking. And since I'm putting a new track on it, it's going to stretch and a might wish I had it later on. I'll keep it in there. Haven't had a problem yet, so I can't see why it would start now.
