I live in a small town (under 2000), so there is no such thing as a "cell phone store" here.
We have a hardware store, that also sells cell phones & plans.
Well my dad goes to buy a plan & nobody there can explain phone features, or any of the fine details of phone or plan.
So he goes to a neighboring town (about 30000) to a cell phone store.
Surely they have the experienced sales personal to thoroughly educate & advise
customers of their options & phone features.
WRONG!!!
They give him the quick "ramrod a plan down his throat" ordeal & convince him
that is what he needs.
Now I need to teach an older fella how to use, program & adjust settings on this
phone with buttons so small he could push three different ones simultaniously.
This is fine, I don't mind.
But, I suck at teaching anything.
I flat out have zero patience.
The point of my whole rant is that if you are gonna sell phones & plans, take
the time to educate your customers & make sure you are selling them the
product that best fits their needs & abilities.
Any time a plan is sold, the customer should receive a survey from the company
asking if they understand their plan & phone features.
These sales agents need to be held accountable to some degree.
Am I right here?
