CDST Parking close to steep and deep??

What is the prefered area to park in the Continental Divide area and get to the deep and steep. We planned to go to Togwotee 27 to 3rd. But we are wondering if it is the best location or not. The hauler is 75ft so parking lot size is important. Need to have fuel, food and drink near by.

i would say togwotee would be your best bet. We have everything that you need food fuel and drink. Also a place to park. But if you are bringing a semi out here, make sure that you call ahead so we can block off a place for you a park.

use the new parking lot the state built about 1/2 mile from Togwotee Lodge plenty of room

They are redoing the highway on Togwotee Pass. They added a HHUUGGEE parking lot just past the lodge coming from your way. Did I say HHUUGGEE, You could fit forty semi in it so 75 ft would be easy. Easy walk or ride to the lodge, bar, food, gas, blah blah. Going back up tomorrow and will bring camera and post pics. There is always good riding not far from the lodge and when I was up there today it was snowing pretty good. Forecast for snow is 100% chance today, tonight, tomorrow and so on for the next few days.
