CDI box and spark plug wire problems

okay i had to get new spark plug wires on my 07 skidoo 800. but i am having trouble getting them in the CDI box. i have that little plastic part the the wire goes into and they are really hard to push in and i cant get them. anybody have any suggestions on how to do it easier? thanks

Insert wires into plastic clip to proper depth, then use pliers & squish the plastic spikes into the wire prior to inserting them in the coil. Just make sure you have them set at the right depth first. I also put a dab of dieletric grease on the tip of the wire & some silicone around the wire at the plastic clip prior to inserting them in the coil.
