now how will this new monster do on boost? with different port timing and higher compression im not sure that you could just "plug and play" a turbo. But what an awesome out of the box sled this will be.
I was told that the Cat engineers have tested this engine on boost themselves, and had great results!!!
Interesting though that the graph only starts the 2010 cat at 7500 rpm, and the others are starting from 7400. Could this mean that below 7500 in the low and mid grunt areas it falls on its face and only makes a screaming top end???
After seeing that graph, the less rotating mass/inertia kinda makes me think it might be a dog down low. Great for sheer hp numbers true but I still remember the days of old suzuki 2-strokes which only made hp up high made things difficult unless all your doing is pinning it everywhere. I still find for my type of tree riding a solid mid range is just as useful as peak numbers.
Would like to see the whole picture, that graph could be a bit deceiving.
