A Arctic Thunder Well-known member Mar 3, 2010 #2 You need to use a primer to cover up the black under your touch up paint. I had some pretty good gashes in my hood and I tried to use just the touch up paint. You can't put enough coats of paint on to cover the black. Then I started looking and I should have used some sort of primer first to seal it. Then it covers right up. Learn the hard way. Or like you I should have asked. Good luck. Thunder
