Cat Touch Up Paint

Has anyone used the Cat touch up paint - I am getting the small bottle with the brush and the aerosol can and need to do some touch up on my hood.

Any tips or tricks before I ruin my hood....

You need to use a primer to cover up the black under your touch up paint.

I had some pretty good gashes in my hood and I tried to use just the touch up paint. You can't put enough coats of paint on to cover the black.

Then I started looking and I should have used some sort of primer first to seal it. Then it covers right up.



Learn the hard way. Or like you I should have asked.

I have heard the Cat paint comes with 3 cans - primer, paint and clear coat. if it doesn't, what type of primer do you recommend? Do you have to sand it down?

yeah i need to go get some black cat paint for my tunnel, my sled went sideways down pavement the other weekend, lets just leave it at that
