Right now I ride a 09 m1 with lots of mods, pushing 200hp. My pal has a race gas Cutler turbo m8, pushing 275hp. After riding a Turbo, I am defently buying one, just not sure which way to go Yami, or Cat. I know most people on this forum ride yamis and im normally on the cat forum, but just looking for honest opinions on the weight issues of front end. Ive heard can get a little scarry comming down shoots with the back end so much lighter than the front and back end starts to come around sometimes...I donno, but im buying either a Yami t or a cat t. i know reliability is second to none with a yami etc.. let me know why u think a tnitro over a tm8 ..thx

I ride with a dealer that has one of the "RTR" sleds that are going to be built to Chris Burant specs. Boondocker turbo. Great boondocking sled runs on pump gas and up to 11#'s is about max. A new M8 plus the turbo kit will get you between $18-19 K usd
For us that have the T Nytro's we play with the cat for a while then we turn the boost up and say bye bye. Another plus on the Nytro's you can find a good used one on the swapmeet for around $15k usd.
The cat is great in the trees and is easy to get unstuck:)
The Nytro's are heavy but will blow away just about anything.
The Nytro takes a little while to get used to and comfortable to be able to fly through the trees.
I have enough confidence to ride with anybody in the trees.
Both sleds are great fun to be had. Good luck

Well stated.

I have had Turbo or supercharged nytros the past couple years. You WILL NOT beat the power and reliabilty. On the other hand, you can't beat the agility of the M chassis.

I too, have learned to ride the heavier chassis and a rear suspension mod, front shocks, and removing the sway bar are manditory for boondocking. If you are a bigger guy the nytro is better too.

Log term sled: Yamaha

Short term, fun, light :Arctic Cat

buddy has a t-800 cat i have a t-nytro at 17 pound boost. We went to velmount together and the nytro just eat the cat for breakfast not even close ......Honestly i am not trying to talk you in to a nytro i really don't care want you buy but if you work hard for your money like i do then it would be good idea to get the best bang for your buck!! Oh by the way that t-800 cat blow up the second day out. I hear story after story of 2-stroke turbos lasting only 100 km give or take and i have never heard of one lasting one season. Yamaha turbo if tuned write witch is not that hard will last 1000's of miles with no problems. 2 strokes are not easy to tune! My nytro has 1700 km and never misses a beat
