I'm trying to get the clutching on my 1000 figured out and was wondering about the light tip weight profiles. I have 80g light tips and 83g light tips that I have grinded off the sides to get 81.5g, I was thinking about now taking them and grinding another 1.5g off the tips on the inside where the roller doesnt contact. Kinda making them a 80g light light tip and try and speed up the backshift a bit as the 80's just arent quite quick enough and I thought I could give this a try instead of buying cutler adjustables and heal loading them. Arer the 80 and 83 profiles the same other than the width? They seam to be but I just wanted to check. Any thoughts, suggestions or better yet experiance with this would be appreciated.
