I've noticed on an m1000 and an m8 that I've torn apart that both had dirt/debri in the intake tract. Where is this crap coming in? Seems like the rubber boot that goes around the throttle bodies maybe. Any good solutions? Same issue with my bdx black box. Thanks.

Um... Don't ride them in the summer. 
I hear you think alot comes from trailering even with cover on I'm sure dust gets under the cover and in through the screens by the windshield can't process it but I know there isn't dirt while I'm riding
It's more like a gritty sand. Spring riding you hit some bare spots on the trail ocassionally. Just wish there was something I could do to prevent this!
Open trailer with no cover is the #1 offender.
