I didn't want to horn in on the Cat sight... If you watched the X Games, easy to see that Tucker Hibert is DA MAN, nobody even close to his riding. He could have parked, & let everyone pass him,, & he still would have won...

BUT,,,,, you can't say he was riding a CAT.... His sled was a MONSTER for sure,,, but it wasn't a Cat. The XP's & POO's were sled chassis you can buy, but the Cat Tucker rides is a total custom sled... Seems to me there should be a few more rules on sled design..

I will not be proud. My life is now in shambles. I am moving to the desert to become a hermit. Damn you kodpkd, damn you. :D

you can buy that Cat chassis from any dealer... for sure Hibert's is a factory ride, but Doo and Poo had factory teams there too. I think the new cat Race sled is the poop no doubt, but the IQR is long in the teeth, but the XP race sled is a good ride too. Hibert is just that much better. But him on a Doo, and it would be much closer race. The new Cat race sled is pretty *****in' though!

There's a couple of them funny looking Cat's running around the hills here......the bottom of the hills.

The skinny on Hibert's sled is that it's custom build, just for him... I might be wrong. Different than a factory ride. And I didn't mean this to be a Cat bashing thread.. I think the other Cat's were normal.

I'm not a Cat guy, but if they would use that chassis in a mountain sled I would have to think about buying one. Sat on one at a cat dealer and it feels awesome. I think Tucker could win on a Yamaha though. He!!, Malinowski did it.

we were riden Whistler last spring and the slednecks guys were there and one of the kids was on the race chassis and man was he airin' that thing out. No questions its not a mountain sled, but damn it looked good in the air! if you watched the last slednecks and saw the kid get WAY crossed up and crash - we were sittin' right next the to his take off ramp. I couldn't believe the sled wasn't broken! Tough.

Snow X is just like moto X IMO! It's all about the rider. R. Carmichael won on every brand he rode in moto cross, and now J. Stewart is doing the same thing. Those sleds are so far from what you can actually buy in the store it's insane. I read somewhere the dirtbikes you can buy in the store for $6000 or so, would cost you an extra $50 grand to make it the way the factory riders bikes are set up. I'm sure it's the same thing for the sleds.

T. Hibbert is a stud, and I believe he would win on any thing he put his legs over. I have to admit that new Cat chassis is pretty sweet looking. I'd love to try one out in the mountain version. IMO, it's the only sled out there that looks better than the XP. Hopefully cat puts that chassis in there mountain sled next year.

its not like is sled is built out of unobtainium. it is a factory cat race sled but completely setup with custom suspension, clutching, engine, the works. look at the holeshot he gets, his engine and cltuches are obviously working.

and he is an absolute animal. the lines he picks no one else can touch, it really shows in the whoops. everyone else cases through them while he flys over the top of them or doubles through them.

i wish someone could ride up to his level. it would be so fun to watch a battle for first, not a 38 second split for second place.

so true - he has Rhythm that the others lack. His sled is also the sickest looking which only helps make his wins even better looking :D

Hibbert

I also think Hibbert is the man.... And he could win on anything, (well except a Yammy). My point wasn't about Hibbert. But his sled isn't a Cat sled,,, set up..... It isn't a Cat race sled... It is a fully custom sled.... You can't buy even the chassis...

Blair Morgan ran a Rev chassis before you could buy one too. Its probably only in the mod or open class. Which I think was the only class featured at the X games. Must have been if yammaha was running. rules are not very tight in that class. Its the proving ground. Blair Morgan won on everything that he rode and tucker hibbert will too (except dirtbikes), as soon as another factory offers him a better deal.

yes his sled are hand built by my neighbor. used to do it in his garage. when tukker was having family problems he lived there for a while and went toschool in pequot lakes. russ ebert is the builder dans dad and the semi is always parked at his house. i think russ builds them up at thief river now since he took an engineer job up there. russ worked at the college teaching auto body and stated hand building tukkers sleds. dan ebert is the next tukker

Can you go out and buy the Yamaha pro open fourstroke? NOOOO! You know that Yamaha has won a handfull of qualifying races. Thats just like the first four stroke wining a Supercross race, and now do people even run two stokes? He would still win on a Yamie. I call BS on this whole completely custom sled just for him. Cat makes 300 Race sleds a year, so ya not everyone can buy them. You have to send Cat a resume and a sled application. You have to do the same for the others but I think they make more sleds. His sled is built with all of the top notch components on the market. But it doesnt meen that no one quid build the same sled if they had the money to do so. If you have some evidence to prove that his sled is a one off, I am open to learn something new...
