So i've been riding snowmobiles since I was 8 and I still haven't figured out how to carve yet. I was watching some vids on youtube and was like " what the hell is wrong with me" so my question is whats the secret to doing it.

do you guys think sway bars are that big of a deal on or off? Thanks for all the help
I think I understand the idea behind it but it really is counter intuitive to steer right to go left, do you guys think sway bars are that big of a deal on or off? Thanks for all the help
Some will say its easier to carve sitting than standing and others will say the opposite. Standing up i'll say is the easiest. It shouldnt matter how tall you are and your weight. I know of some people who barley hit 5'5" and 100 lbs wet, that can carve with the best of them. Counter steering what everyone is saying here is your friend and keep on practicing! knee deep snow i think is the best to practice in. IMO
How are you doing it? maybe we can get a better idea to help you.
ride safe!

i can kinda carve up hill with the throttle on pretty easily, you know with the skis basically of the ground and just leaning side to side, not really carving but leaning and turning. the thing I have never been able to do is just sit in a meadow and just carve those tight circles over and over like you see these guys in the vids do.
