Used to ride there a couple of years ago. The parking lot is a small one on the right side just before you get to the fish hatchery on the way to Seward. It is clearly marked, but tucked in the trees - not an open pullout (but like I said... small).
There is a narrow bridge right off the get go and the single wide trail switchbacks up the mountain to the playground. It is short and if the snow is good - an easy climb. However, if it is as icy as Primrose and Firehouse trailheads are... be prepared to use a lot of muscle and maybe some come-alongs if you don't have a studded track.
The playground itself is also a small area from the top of the trail head up thru Carter Lake then on to Crescent Lake. If you like hauling azz across lakes, then you'll like it, the scenery is nice and it's cool to go check out the cabins (one on the left side of Crescent just over half way and another at the end of the lake) but there isn't much beyond that unless the trail is busted through to the Cooper Landing side.
