Carls Helix

Not sure. . .give them a call - 208.853.5550 and talk to parts or service department.

Just had a good conversation with Glenn at Venom and he was quit helpful . It sounds like the 56/42/36 would benefit me the most.
I have always just bought my kits from Carls and was pleased with them but as everything else it is a generic one size fits all . So it will be interesting to have one tuned to me.

what is the angle of the stock helix? You say the stock helix is better than Carl's, but did you compare both angles? You can run it in the 40 degree or the 42 degree. Not arguing here, just curious. I am running Carl's helix-

just looked it up - stock is 40 degree so I guess as long as you are running the 40 degree ramp, it is the same as stock? I was running the 42 angle but just switched to the 40 because the snow is getting a lot more dense this time of year

Stock helix for a Pro is 56-42-36 some where I ended up with a 58 helix wonder what that came off.

yeah you just needs a LITTLE of the first angle with the axys motor, and team makes the 56/40 56/42 .36 , for my sled I got the 56/40 56/38 as I ride higher elevations. I really believe anything steeper than about a 56/58 initial is just to much with the axys bottom end IMHO, your results may vary lol :face-icon-small-coo

One other note we are talking here about very very SLIGHT changes between these helixes, meaning same day testing on same hill swapping them in the field and making back to back runs, so unless you are a super duper expert clutching guru that can tell 2 degree changes by "feel" on different days ect ect you may or may not notice much difference between the carl's, stock, the one I use ect ect so there is no CORRECT PERFECT helix for all riders and sleds, just part of experimenting and having fun out there trying different stuff

I think I will stay with my stock 40 for now the sled just seems to work well .
Next question is who has tried the bearing instead of Delrin washers . I have a friend who has ran one for a few years and says he likes it and gave me one but I never installed it. I gave it to another friend to try and he did not see any difference . So who has tried it and what where your thoughts
