I'm not familiar with the mod, unless you're talking about matching the Y-pipe to the manifold to the exhaust ports???????????

I've seen them to where they're off by over a 1/4", as if the jig is off at the factory and the mounting holes are drilled in the wrong location.

Problem was corrected by slotting the Y-pipe flange mounting holes.

Sorry, the spacer deal thingy, a buddy was taliking about it.

It is a spacer, maybe 1/8in. thick, that goes between the y-pipe and engine. When I ordered my clutch kit, I told them I was also running an slp single, and they immediately said their spacer was a must have for that combo. Anyway between that and the carl's clutch kit (went on at same time), the sled woke up noticeably at all rpm's.

I ordered one of their clutch kits and the y pipe spacer hope it helps, the track speed issues im having, need my old button sec. on this thing.

The spacer makes the pipe a titch longer... matches the performance edition single at that point. Testing showed the titch longer pipe, especially on ported motors, made a couple of sled lengths difference.
