How many guys out there are running carls clutch kit in there pro?
Also how many guys opted for the "primary clutch mod"?
If you have had either/both done how do you like it?
im snowchecking a 12 and already planning what im gonna do :face-icon-small-hap
wondering if this is a goodway to go.

This is the post from carls.

Yes, we got our clutching all figured out last spring. $227 for the kit which includes helix, weights and delrins. Using stock springs with this setup. Very satisfied with the bottom-end and mid range gains. These are in stock and ready to ship.

We also are offering a new primary clutch mod for the PRO's or older dragons. Re-machining the clutch sheaves which is giving us better power transferred through the clutches, less belt slipping and lower belt/clutch temperatures (testing showed on average 20 degrees lower). This mod, including balancing is $152 for a drive clutch with 0 miles, if sending in a drive clutch with miles on it add $69 for labor plus any parts needed for a clutch service. Your drive clutch does need sent in to us and turn around time is typically 1 week or less.

We are running Carl's in one of ours, it runs better then stock but not as good as the set up my buddy put in mine!!! Thanks again Jeff

Big D, What kind of clutch set up did your buddy put into your sled? Please share if your going to say it works better then carls.

It is worth it!!

I am running Carl's kit minus the clutch re-work. I had that done by Indydan.
The kit works great. Pull after pull with very little rpm loss.

I'm running both. I'm a big fan of their sheave machining and balancing; my low rpm vibration is gone and my clutches run WAY cooler. So cool, in fact, that my Holz vents are still sitting on my desk and I'm not even sure I'll install them! The actual clutch kit... works better than stock but not worth the extra coin IMHO. Would have been better off going with a Team Tied as I'm just still not happy with the backshift (upshift is good and agressive tho with the Bellybuster weights).

My 2 cents,

G MAN
