Caribou Closures - Revelstoke Area

Not sure if this has been posted but see link.

I was talking to a Parks guy in Revy last year and he was saying the population is still declining. I hate loosing sled area as I'm a die hard sledder but if it's true we need to respect these closures. I'd hate to see them go extinct.. Sucks...

Does anyone have any high resolution maps of the Keystone area detailing the closure area in relation to other landmarks ? The maps posted on the club site suck. They don't show nearly enough detail. How can they expect people to stay out of the area if we can't see them ?

We just got the official ones from Gov. showing the legislated additional closures Gov. put into effect this past May 2 wks. ago.
Map #53 and 54 is Keystone/Standard closures.
These maps will be on the Revy Club and SRS`s site soon.

You will also see that Jan. 1-Apr. 15 there is no snowmobiling N of Keystone on Hwy. 23.
Caribou Basin has been completely closed right down to the rd.
Two huge closures are in effect during those times at Keystone/Standard.
There is a very small area that has been opened up at the N end of Frisby.

Snowmbiles don't kill caribou!. time the granolas in BC wake up to that.
Up here the indians shoot them all and they are declining no ****

Kathy, has there been any response to the proposed closure as of late ? That makes more sense LOL
