Can't help you with the car fax, but I own one of these. Do yourself a favour and don't buy a 6l. They are a gutless fuel burning piece of chit. The only way I can stomach mine is the $3000 propane system I put on it and buy propane @ .40/l instead of .95 for gas. I know guys with the 8.1 and they get better mileage than me. They can actually spin their tires if they want, I know the propane makes mine even more gutless, if I ever buy another 3/4 ton, it will be an 8.1 and I'll put it on propane too. That's my .02 maybe more like .05
