Carburator freeze

Ive been riding for the past few days in Montana in 2ft of fresh fine fluff. Carb heater had a broken connector so it wasnt even working. Bike runs good with the Smarty however i did lose the idle a little throughout the day.

Once heat is in the pipe bike runs flawless. Loves being revved. Starts first kick. I did flood it twice in 7 gallons of fuel burn. Not sure if it was a roll over valve or just a little slope. Getting a new press tested needle and seat from APT.

Smarty doesnt seem to be affected or even build carb ice. Even the fueli KX we ran with was burbling pretty good.

I would like to have coolant through the carb. That way the idle wouldnt be lost. Working on it with Smartcarb.

Wicked ride with MtnDoo and Rush ! Im still amazed where these bikes go. We sidehilled forever LOL. Thats where they shine ! Super fun to ride !

I did remove my stats to test. Bike ran between 90F and 130F all day. Its seems to like these cool temps. Good call Portgrinder.

FYI here is the info on how to make a little less civilized carb heater setup if avid doesnt have one for your carb.

looks a little shoddy but it makes tons of heat.

the little valve is from an XP carb heater. places like Greggs distributors sell em too.
