Who wants to save some weight for their sled tool kit? Pretty sweet wrenches.

MADE IN THE USA :usa2:

http://carbonlitetools.com/

The set of 5 wrenches weighs 6.7 oz.

Lifetime warranty

One side of the wrenches is metric and the opposite side is standard. Sizes are 5/8in, 9/16in 1/2in, 7/16in, 3/8in, 15mm, 14mm, 13mm, 12mm, 10mm.

Pretty cool and the price really isn't horrible if you compare them to a set of snap on or the like.

Thanks for those pictures Christopher.

Seems like they should polish the edges and put a glossy finish on them.
Or maybe not..I dunno. I'd be happy to try a set and give some feedback.

WTH.
I had those as links cause the pictures were too large...did the forum software automatically change them to pics?

Neat idea but probably not very usable in even remotely tight situations because of the extra material needed on the ends.

I remember back in the day when I'd carry a couple crescents, one full set of ratchet wrenches, a ratchet and a couple specific sockets in my backpack. Made the pack heavy.

Now days I have replaced them with my DSLR. :)

But I think they'd work WELL to carry in my sled backpack when a person is trying to be weight conscious....especially when 30lb packs SUCK for sledding.

Looks like I need a set of these sitting next to my Motion Pro Titanium set! Sweet!

Titanium would enable them to be slimmed down. I.M.O. those cf wrenches pictured rate high on the bling scale but low on the practicality scale. I also just prefer to make sure one of my friends is carrying the tools.:face-icon-small-coo

Agree completely....

Awfully awful
On these new sleds the box end of a normal wrench dosnt fit in places. Most places can't use a wrench at all. Especially a wrench with zero off set. Wonder how those would hold up to my normal hammer persuasion?
I'd think a crescent wrench would do more good and save more weight than that whole set

I think a crescent sucks for anything that is right. The manufacture of the carbon wrenches says specifically not to use them as a hammer. I'd say that's pretty obvious.

If you're using a crescent wrench, you're using the wrong tool ;)

And I'm going to add these(The carbon fiber) to my titanium set. In case someone doesn't realize they already have them. 8,10,12,13mm. have had them for a few years in my backpack. Very cool.

Yes a crescent wrench is never right. But these carbon wrenches look to be equally as useless. I wasn't saying it was a great idea to only have a crescent, but these are equal. Those titanium tools look nice. Either way a guy should go through his machine and figure out some basic tools they might be. Guaranteed not to be the fat carbon wrench

Ok you're definitely right. But how cool do they look when you send a buddy to your toolbox for a wrench and he sees these....hahaha. Blingin'

I like to do most of my maintenance at home with the tools in my kit. That way I'm ready for a problem in the hills. Dirt bike and Six Day experience taught me to be ready for anything or you traveled for nothing lol.
If you use your Snap -on wrench at home to tighten and only have your OEM open end butter wrenches in the hills you may only be able to round of the bolt not take it off.

One nice thing about keeping a sled more than a year is being able to slim down the tool kit your carry. I can't use really cheap so I start with some tools of half-a##ed quality and start to combine them with the tig welder.
For my Pro right now I have a 10 and 13mm open end combined with a 5/8ths off-set box end LOL and a 10, 13, and 17mm box ends on another. I have the smaller tools tigged into one. Like 5 amd 6mm allens and a couple of torx I need.

After a couple of maintenance sessions you may find you need something special too. I have a open end light duty 13 mm extended and bent at 3 angles so I can adjust my C3 belt drive with a smoking muffler if needed lol. On the other end I added a loop of stainless wire to pull exhaust springs and left the locking needle nose at home.

I've got a double ended ratching box wrench. It has inserts to fit from 10mm-18mm. Super handy and pretty highvon the weight-usefulness scale. I'm going to try and lighten the wrench some by drilling it this summer. I carry a lot of tools but I usually spread them out between me and my two sons so none of us is really carrying much weigh. The storage behind the seat on the XMs is a great little tool box.

These are great, we love our Titanium ones. Would be nice to be able to find a full set somewhere that go to larger sizes, and maybe even a matching SAE set!
