Carbon fiber Over structure frame Tube Replacement

I am looking for information on replacing one of the CF Overstructure support tubes.

In particular the removal of the glue and tube at the bottom where it is glued to the aluminum piece.

Does anyone have some info on doing this??

Are you looking for a way to free the glue from the lower cast aluminum support & the carbon tube? If so use a heat gun to heat the glue. After it is warm twist the tube to braek the bond.

Now what does that remind me of? Mmmmmmmm. Heat gun? Mmmmmmm. Oh yah, the heat buildup under the hood, from the engine.

I am not possitive, but I believe it takes something like 450* to soften up the glue. I am positive though that it does not get that hot under the hood.
