carbide runners or not?

what do you guys run on your skis, carbide or round wear bars? i've always run carbide but was sold some bars that i was told were some hard tool steel or something. turns out after shipping there just mild steel round bars. not too stoked. anyone run these? i do ride in the mtns but the trail does get icy from time to time during the year. suggestions? thanks for the help.

my polaris had those round steel wear bars on it when i bought it, it wouldnt hardly steer at all especially in icy conditions so i change them to carbide wear bars, much better. if you have to cross any pavement to get to the trail it makes the non carbide ones even worse, they wear out fast

Carbides for me BUT they will hang up on logs and rocks so you have to be aggressive boondocking.
