Carb Mystery....

Okay- I have a 2001 AC Sno Pro w/ a 720 D&D kit. All winter long the left cylinder would not work. Compression was fine, and would run with gas poured in the plug. We switched every jet, slide, needle, choke, spring, screw, and everything in between, but could never get it to run. I finally ordered a new carb and put my jets in it. Voila. It runs. But what in the world was the problem?? Anybody have any idea, or has it happened to anyone else??

did you ever switch carbs side to side..sounds like the only thing you forgot and should have been the first..??...bet your carb body was cracked...thin line crack..

Yeah. Did that to determine it was a fuel problem. I have had several people look at the carb body. It looks fine.

Is it possible you missed checking an orifice in the carb and it was plugged/restricted?

check the vent to make sure it's not plugged or the vent line was not kinked. was the needle stuck on the fuel inlet?

Maybe there was a mouse stuck inside the carb?
