can't ride with abs pack.

i bought an abs bag 3 years ago but i find it is way to hot. this might sound stupid but when i wear it i cook. i was thinking of cutting out the back of my jacket and sewing the pack in but before i do that i wanted to check and see if there is any alternitives.
as far as i know there is no such thing as a jacket with a built in bag but are the newer bags any different as far as heat?

suck it up
sorry dont mean to be an ***, but just layer different

take one more shirt off, open your vents (if you have em), buy a jacket that breathes
a proper coat that breathes, is just as important as being waterproof

its not the pack bro, its you.....figure out something different and keep that pack on your back dude! :)

My layers are;

Underarmor heat gear base layer
Tec vest
Shell with vents
ABS pack

I also got the klim F4 last year and it is awesome at keeping my head from overheating.

That's exactly how I roll too. I'm a pretty big dude and I stay "just right" like that.

You might want to check out the Avy-Vest as an option.

well u kind of asked a dumb *** question...what did you expect to get for an answer??

You think that he asked a stupid question, but your remarks are just friggen rude and uncalled for. Telling him to "just figure it out"

We were all new at this sport at one time. I used to ride in jeans with insulated bibs and I would have appreciated somebody telling me sooner that just getting rid of the cotton would help alot.

If you can't help out, go away!

he was asking, "hey i cant ride in my abs pack - YOU KNOW THAT ONE THAT WILL SAVE MY LIFE IN AN AVALANCHE!!!!! :mad:

my first response to him, was to layer different and maybe try a new coat BEFORE you decide to take off your avy backpack
then HE, YES HE comes back with a smart *** response, so he got one bck

this is the exact reason why i am leaving this site
dumbasses like you, that think they ****in know everthing

he said hes been riding w one for 3 years, so not so new to me dude

do us all a favour and keep your dumbass comments to yourself - douche :beer;

Well here is the truth: These air bags are gimmicks and will not save you life in an avalanche. And if you think they will, you have not been around an avalanche. The avalanche that killed my dad buried him under 30 feet of snow, with slabs 8-feet thick. Wanna be safe and alive, attend all the avalanche awareness classes you can attend, listen well. The truth is, you may just have to postpone your trip into the wild, because the Beast may be waiting. And if you cannot see the Beast in any and every situation, the Beast can make even enis750 turn into a muddled mass. Ride smart, ride safe, the Beast does not care about you and your issues.

Enis750, you can pound sand. You were a smart azz and offered no suggestions to him. I let you slide on that 1st post, but after calling him a dumbass, I called you out. Sorry you can't take it. Waaaah! Are you gonna rate all my posts bad now, you freakin whiner?

you could try under armours hot/cold base layer with the cold side to you..should help cool you down.........

I too was way hot with just my pack and a coat but no Tek Vest. Something about the Tek seems to make the avi pack not heat me up so bad and leave my spine damp. Do you ride with a vest of any kind. I also find they make the straps a lot more tolerable on a long day.

I hope you find the right combo. EW
