Haha I came across this on the ctv app earlier, 550000$ budget for a sled build. I don't feel so bad about my sled spending anymore
It's not a half mil to build that sled. It's to ignite the companies trying to bring said products to market that don't have the capital to succeed.
The feds have a proposal program out right now for federal funding of new technology in 4 different sectors. Grants are set at half mil each(max) with a total of 7 mil getting sent out the door. The money is for the feds to get in on the ground level of existing companies that have not yet reached market with new innovations. Again, troublesome process, but if you are that company, looking for that final push into the market, these grants are great. The latest proposals were submitted by the 18th of Aug.
