Two Fridays ago I headed south of the boarder for my first sledding trip into the USA. I Crossed the boarder at 5am and headed to Halfway Oregon to meet up with Nicole and her friends for a great weekend! The snow was great and the company was better!

Nicole and I then headed over to McCall Idaho and were planning on staying for 4 days but after the first day we decided to pack up our hotel and head for Utah do to the severe lack of snow. We made a couple quick phone calls and headed out same night.

We met Shain Stanger for breaky the first day and he invited us to go ride Farmington, his buddy Todd took us up the back side along a privite trail. Franklin Came up from south of Salt Lake to join us also, we broke trail all day! Shain's sleds are fast! Its really fun to ride a light sled with kind of power! Nicole got to rock out on one of shains Twisted 1000's and we all made some killer pulls! Thanks Todd for the great route!! Awsome crew!

The following day we travelled south to Draper Utah to meet up with Paul and Franklin and Travis to go see how the Impulse Boys do it! Waylon was busy working so he couldnt join us but we had fun in the bottomless Utah Pow. American Fork is an unreal area with epic chute climbs everywhere you look! We really wanted to pull some chutes but the snow was so deep we would have needed some 186inch tracks to pull them... Lol! Visability was not great but we made the best of it! Nicole was running the bag out of her M1000 to keep up with 3 turbo 174s through the over the bars Pow but she rocked it all the way to the top at 11000 feet with us! All in all a great week and Ill be sure to make anouther trip to the south soon!

Looks like you were having a great time, ....fresh deep powder and good friends!!!

Good to hear that you had a great trip Laird, ...we have saved some POW back here in Revy for you, ..there was another foot of fresh up top yesterday, ..more today.

Cheers and good on ya young man.

Just looking through all the pics again, ..all that deep fluffy powder......,

..are you sure that you wouldn't have rather gone to some resort, like in Mexico, ...you could have waited in security line-ups at the Airports, gone and got vaccination shots for this and that deseases, searched for lost luggage, wait in more line-ups for dinners, sat around a pool with a hundred others that you don't know....

.....Or ...sledding with friends and eating all that fresh powder!!!!!

Great pics for sure there Laird.

Great pics Lairdo! It's too bad there was no snow in Mccall...we were only 3 hrs from getting there before we turned around and went back to Revy. Looks like you guys found some sweet pow in Utah though.

Dannnnnnnnnnng that sucks!! There's snow, not as much as there should be... but if you go a looking you can find some gooooood stuff! ;) (just not over the hood good)

Beautiful pictures, as usual, there Laird! Glad your trip was a HOOT! :clap2:

Great pics, Laird! I am SO glad your drive to Utah made your road trip worthwhile. I got Nicole's text, "Utah is crazy, love it here" and knew you were having a great time. Awesome!

Sorry you guys had crappy weather. Hook chute is BURLEY! Too bad Paul couldn't take you over to the Dominator, another worthy chute up there. There are a lot of worthy chutes up there when you can see. Glad Franklin had his smokes, I'm sure you've heard him and Waylon fighting over them every ride when they run low lol.

Ya thanks guys the trip to utah was really great! would have been sweet to see more of american fork but if the sun was out i would have not been able to say no to those beautifull chutes! My sled is in perfect condition in route home right now so im not complaining! what a different area and good peeps to ride with all along the way.

Neil how was your weekend in Revy? Would have been sweet to ride McCall with Phill and Kinzer, it deffinatly looks like a cool area with lots of chute potential with big snow. We should plan again for next year! Phill im sory we took off, give me a buzz if your headed up our way yet this season!
