So I have been ordering parts like crazy and thought I would add a few photos during the install that I think get left out a lot. Overall the install was easy with the proper tools and taking your time anyone should be able to do this. I ordered the Canada Sled Parts Gauge Lifter last week and it came today. First impressions were it's made well and will serve it's purpose with no hiccups. The only thing to make sure you do before drilling is to measure enough width for the key to turn.
So now for the install.

Getting the allen screws ready, They were really hard to get started by hand so I had to use the allen key to get them going.

Allen screws pushed thru and bolts put on loosely.

Completed and tighten down at height preferred.

One thing to measure before install was the key. So make sure you can still turn it as it's tight.

All in all it's an awesome product and made very well for the price paid.

Kurt does GREAT work.
That bracket riser looks awesome.

Gotta have one.

Great install pictures and detail. Thank you for sharing.

Yeah, just got them thru Paul from Fire-n-Ice. They are well built and look awesome.

I spent a month with Hurley one weekend in New Denver...what a fun dude. HAHAHAH

Nice write up, I installed mine last night also. Very very happy with it! Nice job Wildchild!!:face-icon-small-hap

I bought a gauge lifter from Mountain Fit Hoods at Haydays, guess what, i don't think they realise how far the plug sticks out the back of the spedometer, because you can't put the gauge in before the back of the plugs hits their screen! :face-icon-small-sad

What's the trick for removing the speedometer. I am wiggling and she is not moving.. Help please

1.Unplug it
2.Push hard on the back so it pops out "it's held in by a rubber gasket"
3.When re-installing put the gasket in first then push the guage into the gasket and bracket.

Installed mine a few days ago. Very Impressed. Nice job Wildchild! Kurt had excellent service. Mine got stuck in the Post Office ( was just sitting there on the shelf for 2 weeks even though I asked about it 4 times, sigh)
I was a little concerned about the height cuz I use a low windshield. No worries. (Besides I shouldn't be rolling my sled over as much with the new track and other mods). Had mine powder coated to match the rest of the sled.

Hahahaha that just means you'll be higher up on a steeper hill without help when you do have to roll it!

I'm digging the red. Anxiously waitin for mine to show up. It shipped the 14th so should be any day no. Hopefully it's not lost at the post office like yours.

What I failed to mention was that when mine was in limbo at the PO, Kurt offered to send me another one asap. Eventhough I turned down his offer, I thought that was pretty cool of him. Thanks again, Kurt.

Started to put mine on tonight. I dont really like how close it is to the key, with my e start I dont think I can get my gloves in there and turn the key anyone else have this consern? I know e start is lazy but I payed for it im going to use it.
