Canada is a corporation registered in the united states, go to u.s. securities and exchange commission website or s.e.c it's all there. This is news to me. Isn't a corp's main objective to make money? How can a country be a corporation? Does that mean canada is no different than say mc donalds?

after some digging it seems as though almost all countries are corporations.....how can a corporation(country) have the peoples best interest in mind if there sole purpose in being is to turn a profit?
