Can you say ROOOAAAD Trip!

Having ridden both areas, I would think you all would have a blast. Late march is a better time to go as there is a higher probability of sun.

Couple thinks to note: Bring cash to pay parking fees. Canada charges $10-20 PER PERSON for using trailheads. You wont find that on any brochures or travel websites. Revy is notorious for thieves stealing trucks, trailers, and anything else that isnt locked down. Bringing chains to lock up wheels and sleds is a good idea, they love to target USA riders.
Dont bother going if you have a DUI on your record, you wont get in.

I wouldnt bother going to both revy AND whistler area. I would go to one or the other, unless weather dictated driving the 7 hours to catch sunshine. Whistler is way more expensive than Revy, but pemberton is pretty affordable.

Lastly, if you think the wasatch and unitas are big mountains you are in for a treat, and riding on glaciers is cold... really cold! :face-icon-small-win

Sounds like a blast. What time are you picking me up?:face-icon-small-win

Having ridden up there and having driven there too. I am reluctant to travel that far to ride. We live Utah! I will wait for the pow to pile up and then drive up the canyon to the best snow in the world.
Sorry to be downer:face-icon-small-dis

Phatty is right tho...the mtns up there are huge! And they are numerous too.

too.

No doubt you would be foolish to think you would find better snow than I can see right from my window, but it's not all about the riding. It's about the adventure. We have the best riding around right here, but I still have a great time going up to Idaho and Wyoming every year. This is a bit on the extreme side of a sledding trip, but what the heck. I also at some point in the not so distant future want to hit up Chile in the July or August for some riding. No that would be a trip!

I hear ya. It's all about the adventure. Smoke em if you got em.
I wish I could afford a trip like that.:face-icon-small-dis

Riding Revy just has to be experienced. If you have never been, you have to go at least once. When I went I was living in Spokane, so it was only a 6 hour drive. If I were to do it from Utah, it would have to be a well planned out road trip. Drive to northern Idaho first day and ride there. Travel on to Revy the next day and spend at least 3 days there. Maybe a day or two in McCall on the way back. A good 7-10 day road trip.

We usually make at least 4 trips north of the border every year. IMO Revy provides better riding/snow conditions than Whistler. More of a variety for all riding types and sleds. With three guys driving and trading off, you can make Revy in anywhere from 19 to 23 hours depending on weather from SLC. If you leave at 5 in the morning you are in bed by midnight. It is really not bad at all. The first time seems a bit overwhelming but after that there is nothing to it. Well worth the trip even if you never see the sun!

Just talking about doing this with some people. I am game! When you thinking? Jan, Feb?

The details of the planned ride are outlined in the link at the top. It is planned for the end of March.

Pics of what Revy looked like a week ago. We may need a road trip sooner than you think.
