Can U add reverse to an 01 Summit 700?

Handle says it all, FNG so I do't know... oh so much.

Anyway, is it possible to add reverse to an 01 Summit 700?

If you can, how much of a PITA is it and are there kits? or is it a cobble the thing together yourself kind of deal.

Also looking to add a 6-7inch steering rizer and anyone who could point me towards the right parts/kit it would be apreciated. I think I need the rizer (brands/suppliers?), extend throttle and brake lines, and then extend grip heater wiring as well... anything else?

Reverse on Summit 700

Are you talking about the mechanical reverse where you pull a lever and it changes a gear in the chaincase or are you talking about the electronic reverse (RER)?

I think a kit is still available for mech. reverse.

No kit is available for RER, but I suppose if you had the right crankcases set up for the RER trigger coil, flywheel, new trigger coils, MPEM, wiring harness, the button, secondary clutch for RER, you might just be able to make it work....

I was thinking of the mechanical reverse. Probubly to much of a PITA to bother with.

You can add a mechanical reverse without much problem. The dealer will have a number for a kit for your year, or you can watch here and on other forums for a used set to come up for sale. I bought a couple here, one for a S chassis and one for a ZX.
