Can I use a 2014 motor into a 2010 Assault ?

Hi guys. I'm looking for some advice concerning the above subject.
Thing is, I have a 2010 Assault with a destroyed motor. A buddy of mine is offering a new, unused motor that came from a 2014 Assault (he went with a PAR engine right of the bat).
I'm anxious to buy it and use it in my '10 Assault.

What trials am I likely to run into during this process?
Can the motor fit right into the older body ?
What about using the 2010 CDI and exhaust to the '14 engine ?

Thank you in advance!

You are talking major, major work. The entire electrical system is different so the ECM, VR, wiring harness, even the instrument cluster would have to be used. Your 2010 is a CFI-4 (4 injector motor) and the 2014 is a CFI-2 (2 injector motor).

By the time you went through "trying" to make this work, you could buy the parts for your 2010 Assault. Might be best to part it out and buy a running Pro. The gain in ridablility would make that the better choice IMO.

Look up CVTECH AAB and get a short block
$2100.00 plus $800.00 core and after they see your core you get all , some , or none of it back depending on condition
