2014 pro rmk with Zbroz 36" arms. They recommend 16.6 or 16.25 but I have access to the longer shock at a decent price. Just need to know if I should hold out or ir these will be OK. Thanks

The longer shocks go on the 11 and 12 pro but will not work on the 13-15. They moved the shock mount on the bulkhead, and shortened the shock. If you tried the longer shocks, it would not mount up. I deal with this kind of question all the time at my dealership I work with. If you need different shocks, we have all kinds of them in stock and could ship you some. Give us a call at 208-853-5550 and ask for Daniel.
Not being a jack here, but the front clip is the same for both 13-15 pro and standard RMKs, same shock mounting point, but the shocks are different lengths - standard RMK shocks 11-15 (not the 15 spring only clickers) are longer than pro's due to the different arms and different mount point on the arms, not the clip. The 13-15 standard RMKs with steel a-arms use the same shock length as all 11/12 RMKs (e.g., standard RMKs have the same shock part # all years).
How can this be if the front clip mounting point is driving the shorter shock length? Wasn't it really the OEM a-arm mount that's driving the different shock lengths, since the only differences between standard and pro RMKs after 12 are the arms, and shocks, with the same clip? Just trying to clearly understand the drivers.
I incorrectly put bulkhead, but I meant a-arm. Yes you are correct. I knew what I meant to say, shouldn't that count?![]()
Long shocks "can" bind steering although not all kits are created equal in that area. Ride height can be a very important thing to maintain but you also have to take into account all the mods guys are doing (drop and roll 3" track etc) I always tell customers they can run my 36" pro kit with the 2012 shocks and alot of guys do but is is the right way to finish it off..no but will it work (without steering binding) yes. Guys need to ask these questions and let who ever they are buying shocks and arms from what the application is and what they may intend on changing later down the road. My 36" kit "with stock shocks" will raise ride height an inch or less if set up according to the instructions. I've just recently had two guys pulling their hair out because they had a 2-3" increase in ride height finally to find out one of them had the zbroz coil springs on the stock walkers. Changed the springs and problem solved. I suspect the other guy was dealing with the same spring whether it was brand x or y. I don't know much about zbroz shocks but do know they are not compatible with my kits. Nothing intended here other than clarification. Thanks!Long shocks on the 36 inch kit will bind your steering....I wouldn't do it!
