Can an 07 summit x be as reliable as the 06 x?

I have seen alot of 07 summit x's for sale with low miles and in "great" condition. However, I have been looking everywhere for a low miles 06X because I want the reliability. Is there anyone who can say one is better than the other.

yep, there is a reason there are lots of 07 800s out there, bad in the reliability department.....I know many people with them that have had nothing but trouble, but i also hear rumors on here that people get hem running very well....

I think the 07 was the model year primarily affected by the crank bearing issue.

Lots of little things plus cranks, clutches, hard rubber track on the X model.

I would buy an '07. Most of the issues are easily adressed, and it should be easy to find one with low miles. The mostly silent majority has been very happy with these sleds once the initial bugs were worked out.

Crank issue is spotty, but you might end up buying a higher mileage '06 that eats a crank anyway.
