I got word today that some updates are coming through the Camso pipeline for the 2018 DTS kit.
1. New Suspension Rail with a 3# weight reduction
2. 8" Rear Tensioner Wheels
3. Stronger Side Panels
4. 50% more rigid subframe
5. New Ski Rubber to help eliminate front end wash
6. New and better brake system
7. Wheel Kit for moving around
8. Graphics Templates to help customization
9. Racer Pack Option. Not sure of the details but it will include a different track.
10. Transfer Kits to allow for fitment on different bikes (I do believe this was available last year).
11. 2 Year Warranty!

Very solid source that had just gotten off a conference call with Camso regarding these changes. I do believe my decision has been made. I am thinking bang for the buck is certainly in the Camso DTS. Sure hope my Huskty 501 likes wearing it in 2018!

Is that 3# weight loss just on the rail with more weight loss in other places or 3# on the whole kit.

I just bought a very lightly used 2017 Camso Kit for $2800.

I think I can probably do some minor updating to new specs if need be, but I think its gonna work really well no matter what from all the reviews I've seen.

Great price! Congrats to you. Hoping for an EPIC 2017/2018!

They should add some real shocks. Ive seen some of the upgrades. The adjuster hopefully works better at the rear axle. Always coming loose. Kit works not too bad but needs improvement. The track is what makes it work overall. Although i saw a Camso track that was missing 5-8 paddles.

They should add some real shocks and maybe Ti springs. I'm not sold on the whole adjuster concept even the new one. Its a lot to ask of that design having aluminum riding on plastic. Hopefully the new design works better. I held it up against the old part and its about an inch longer with a different offset which should relieve the stress. I'd be willing to bet the piece we saw was not the production part as it was welded. Whoever welded it did a beautiful job though, kudos. As far as the track goes I think its closer to 10-12 paddles have lost the outside 1/3 which is a little disconcerting to me but I must say I didn't notice it while riding it. Camso is on it though and responding. I expect the 18 kit will be much better. Another side panel cracked yesterday as well. For sure its a work in progress.

I beat the crap out of mine all season, not one problem. Added loctite & nordloc washers before the 1st ride, torqued everything to spec, adjusted the track twice and still riding. I put this kit on a 07 525 exc that is a dedicated snowbike and couldn't be happier. I'll prolly do all of the up dates just because I get great deals on this stuff. Either way this has been a great kit.

You must have had a real short season or you dont ride very hard, LOL.
After 96 pretty hard mountain hours, I broke both sideplates, bent the shaft that the front rollers mount to, broke the limiter cable, and wore the lower chaincase sprocket right out. But it never left me stranded and every part was immediately covered under warranty. All these issues have been fixed for 2018. I had a great season on the 17 and plan on riding the new one next year.
