Camping along Hwy40

I am going to be heading from Utah to Colorado next week, I would like to stop and camp somewhere along hwy 40 between Steamboat Springs and I-70 any must see places, or cool places to camp. I will be in the car so not to much off roading any info would be great, thanks.

Up on Rabbit Ears pass there is a place called Dumont Lake campground.
I think it's a pay campground but you can get a car there.

there are a few places to camp neer Grean Mountain Res. $5 a night.

Exit 40 at Granby US 34 towards Grand Lake. Once you see Lake Granby there is Stillwater CG on your right. If it is a week day you're probably OK, if not keep going east till you see a fake elk on the left side of the road, a mini-storage and Dillie Docks on the right. This is CR4 which takes you back towards Stillwater Pass. Lots of places to pull off and car camp.
