Paddle wheeler got a lake nearby ?
TRACKSUSA sold me a 162 16 inch wide X3 and then cut it down to 15 inch wide for free! This is even better yet as the 15 inch wide has inset paddles so the 15 is really like a 14 on the paddles. Having a 16 cut down the paddles are a full 15 wide.
The 15" and 16" wide camo X3 have the same width paddles, the 16's just have extra belting on the sides. both tracks padles are 14.25" across at the base. So betting they sold you a 15 wide, hence the "free cut". staring at them side by side all the 16 wide has is an extra little footprint on the side. sucks for end users who want a full 16 wide, but only having one mold with little extension "wings" is a lot nicer for tooling costs then two fully different molds.
ah perfect, i guess cutting and selling them basically ends you with the same part and allows sales to keep rocking, so good idea on their part.I agree. I think its dumb you have to step up to a 174" or step down to a 156" to get a 2 ply track.
Not exactly true on the cutting part though. They are sold out of 15", but have 16" tracks in stock. They are $50 more. They cut about any track you want for a snow bike application.
I've heard the idea behind the inset lug, is that when it builds snow and ice on the inside of the tunnel, the lug doesn't have to drag down it.

He was off a 1/4" inch, you were off a 1/2" and you've got it sitting in front of you! Do you really know how to read a tape measure?
Constant trolling and bull**** seem to be the norm here even for guys with shops who should keep there mouths shut as to not hurt there business. Some of us are here for facts and it really gets old when "experts" spout off calling people stupid when you can easily see how little they really know (like not being able to tell a cut track from a stock one)

excuse me for helping inform others that you were slightly misled. I was much more polite in this thread then my other responses to you and you still get butthurt. I am trying to save guys the $100 cut fee when in reality they would be getting the same track... just not cut up.

Speaking of facts, the cut from 16 to 15 was free NORMALLY EVERYONE PAYS $100, you got lucky, pat yourself on the back. My other post points out that the X3 is sold out until September according to the vendorOther vendors have them in stock, ergo the cut 16. Exactly what are you saving people from?from thinking they can get a 16 cut to 15 and get a different width paddle then just the standard 15
