Has anyone tried this track on there assualts yet? I just saw it on the camoplast website pn9087m. I would think this would be a pretty good upgrade from the stock comp track without having to go to the camo extreme for those of us who only get out west a few times a year. What you all think?????

I was going to put up a post this week on that track... 9087.... Ironic.

The 9087 track was made specifically for the Ski Doo... It is a great track

AND....

It has only 4 rows of Involute driver nubs.... not Six like a Polaris track.

It will fit, but you will have to run standard combo drivers from Avid or Wahl bros...

I spoke with Camoplast last week about this very thing.... they will be making the 9087 next season (the next production run for this track) with 6 rows of involute nubs so that it fits the polaris as a direct bolt on... including the center driver window.

IMO... this is an Excellent choice for an upgrade on the Assault for all but the deepest pow and steepest climbs... where a 2.5" Ch. Ext track would come in handy.

Happy Holidays!!
MH.

Thanks for the info, really to bad they had none ready for this season though. If i have to change drivers i would prob just go with a power claw. Is there any power claw that will fit on the 146" rails or would i have to extend to 155 and and use the 153pc? I dont wanna change rails.

Ok so i did some more calling around today and found a good deal on a 144x2x15 2.52 pitch track pn 9875, i have a jackshaft and 9 tooth sprockets out of a 06 rmk 600 that are 2.52 pitch, The diameter of the drivers works out to be.040 smaller than the factory 8 tooth 2.86 drivers, my question is should i be able to get this track on the stock 146 inch rails or does this idea i got not worth all the trouble. I think this would be a awesome combo to run on both the praries and the mountains. Mountain horse what are your thoughts on this track????

It may fit...but the only way to know is to try it... You will be sucking up 1" on the rails with the 144...giving just a hair back with the very-slightly smaller driver diameter.

That is a great track.

Sorry, nevermind........don't know what I was thinking!!

If anything i thinking it would be to tight going from the stock 146 to the 144 casue the drivers are pretty much the same size. I guess if i have to i could drill out the front suspension mounts on the rear suspension( tunnel holes)and that should give it some more room to with a better aproach angle.

Yes... a bit tighter...

You cannot move the suspension fwd to give you more slack....

It Should work... It will go on tight, stretch a bit for more adjustment.... but no guarantees.

Sorry i kinda worded that wrong MH, not drill to move the suspension fwd but to drill where the front of the rear suspension mounts. Drill the front holes so that they are higher up in the tunnel there for giving it less aproach angle. there is supposed to be pilot holes on the template inside the tunnel( or so i was told). The local dealer told me to do this for better deep snow performance but i never got around to it yet.I hate drilling holes where there gonna be visible and have no guarantee if its gonna work or be a improvement. Hope this make more sense. :face-icon-small-hap

It looks to me the 144" and 146" ASSault rails are the same. I wouldn't mess with drilling out holes up higher in front, use the limiter straps to suck up the front of the skid to lessen the approach angle. But there's tradeoffs, to me it trenches more instead of helping. Plenty of riders like the limiters all the way out and shock in lay down position...
