I'm trying to do the adjustments and alignments on m 09 dragon front end.

Is there a way to adjust the camber correctly with out the Polaris bar tool? I just found a post that states a 5/8 steel rod works great. If anyone has a great tips please let me know.

I got a piece of 5/8" solid steel rod, wouldn't slide through the spindle's real nice to start with so it took some work to get the mill scale off and polish that baby up good so it slides in and out nicely. I tried copper but it would flex in the middle so I decided on the other route.

Why can't a person use a degree wheel like people always have?? lay it on the flat part of the ski, see what the degree is, I would think around +2-3 degrees. I don't see how hanging the suspension in the air checking the camber, can relate to how the ski lays when under weight with camber? You don't ride or turn the sled with the skis in the air? Is this a Polaris part they want you to buy?

Just a observation.

I bought a 5/8 aluminum rod. .628 dia. and 45" long. It cost less than 5 bucks. In my 2009 800 dragon.....I found it to have more play than I liked. but it seemed to work.
