haha why does everyone underestimate short tracks? has nobody ever seen turnagain hardcore? rath films? sled ****? ruff ryders? they are all in the mountains with their short tracks.. its just a preference on what you like to do .. either jumping or hill climbing. when i go ride im not looking for the biggest mountain to climb. im looking for the biggest jumps. i know short tracks dont climb great but they do good enough. i dont think i would have fun with a huge track knowing im going to make it over a mountain. most of the fun is not knowing if you can make it or not. ive never gone riding and not been able to go because of the length of my track. you might be able to climb but lets see you try to get your long tracks 30 ft in the air off a big wind curl. rails get expensive after you break a few.
30 ft in the air. What I saw was about an inch or two of air over that half of inch snow you guys were riding. LAME

yea exactly... an inch of snow.. we arent gonna be jumping in an inch of snow. we were just messing around. if you think your so "hardcore" why dont you ride with us this winter. i think all the people on this forum need to go on a big ride. maybe we can all quit bashing each other then. maybe petersville? thats about halfway between soldotna and fairbanks. we could rent out all the cabins at kenny creek lodge. i think it would be fun.
we have..... 4m ride.

yep true chris burandt does huck. so does dan gardiner. but if anyone says its easier to jump a long track then they are an idiot. also, stuff is going to break a lot more. im sure any of you who have actually watched the vids that burandt is in knows how many times hes broken his rails. he gets all his sleds/parts/gear for free from arctic cat so he doesnt care. and anyone who has seen the new elevation video saw dan gardiner explain how his rails always break.
6"s of air shouldn't break rails so you guys should be fine.
