Call me spoiled, but we need snow

Rode Monte on Friday, Elizabeth on Sat. and Mill Creek on Sunday. I am amazed how the conditions have changed. Either mash potatoes or a hard wind blown crust. We even saw some mud slides today.

We took the kids out today to enjoy the Hero Snow and let them play. 49 Degree's at our cabin at 8200 ft of elevation.

I wouldn't call this hero snow yet. End of January was hero snow. I thought that the snow was pretty sweet today up Soapstone. Not over the hood powder or anything, but good powder to be found.

Rock said the same thing about Soapstone when he road it on Friday.
Should have some fresh this week.

Kim, it was a kid/sitter issue for us. We need to figure out a ride plan before we're talkin bout dirt bikes.

I have never seen as many people at monte as I did on Sat. I took a little burn at last light while mamma got the kiddles put away and there was still pow to be had in some of the canyons close.

I love the face shots, but I love the days when the snow is just starting to set up and is still nice and soft. I believe you had a word for this? Boondockability? Get in deep enough on the right exposures and have good snow. The untouched meadows/lakes still have decent "powder." You can still make some great turns out there.

You can never have too much snow! Let it dump this week!
