So I came across a new product today. C3 Sled Gear, I was wondering what anyone had heard about it. Or who has been riding in it?

I got in touch with the company and got some pictures of the gear in actions but im still waiting on specs about the gear.

So, what have you heard?

They said that soon they will be making an official presence on the forums, but its always cool to see another gear company join the interesting.

Well I have a jacket coming out! I will post updates, rider reviews, and more technical info as it comes across my desk!

Two years ago they had some prototype Jackets at Jackson Hole and they posted some color polls on her after, since then I have not seen or heard much about them. I liked that they intended to remain a USA made product. As everyone else has sold out to overseas labor.

What was your impression of the prototypes?

I think its awesome to hear they wanted to stay a US product. I will ask and see if they have remained as such!

All they had at the time were some race pullovers. But they caught my eye enough to want to see where they have evolved to now, with their line.

Thanks

Thanks guys for posting interest in our gear. As you can guess C3 Sled Gear has tried to remain under the radar to inure our product was 100% field tested before we go to the public.

Our gear is a 3ply laminate. we use Sympatex for our membrane. Our top ply is a PES material that is very soft and tight laced (very little noise from our garments). We also use Sympatex seam-seal tape to insure a 100% seal. Our zippers are a line of YKK (Vislon). The thread we use to sew our coats is a 100% cotton to insure if it gets wet it swells and eliminates water to seap in.

I will say that our website sucks.....Its on our target list of item to complete before our 2015-2016 line is introduced.

As most companies experiance with domestic manufacturing, its hard to compete with pricing of those whom go overseas. C3 is flirting with the idea, simply to pass along savings, of going overseas. This questoin of "why" is much bigger than just price, we feel it will simply allow C3 to grow and favor our customers.

Trust me, Next year C3 will be revamped and be pushing our product. Now, we are simply still building the product.

C3 it's good to see you here on the forums! And I personally cant wait to get my hands on your gear and get some quality time in it.

Welcome to SnoWest!

Lets keep the questions alive.

There are a group of us always on the lookout for Tall size jackets. Sleeve length is the issue. There are threads on here showing actual sleeve measurements on various jackets if you want to compare your test products. I've been wearing Klim gear for years but the sleeves are all the same length, I end up buying larger body jackets to get wider shoulders which in turn make the sleeves feel longer.

I tried last year to win one of your hats in your Friday Facebook quiz, can I just buy one?

They can't be bad. They thought I was funny so they sent me a T shirt and a hat. T shirt was of quality material not the thin cheap stuff. When my Motorfist gives out I'll be looking at their stuff.

Good to see you on here Josh, congrats on another year at C3! We have gotten to wear the first version jacket in a pullover, and we wore last years jacket in the full zip. So far no complaints whatsoever. It is super thin, waterproof, and lives by the minimalistic thought. You get just what you pay for, with no extra fluff. Just a tough, usable snowmobile specific jacket. We give it two thumbs up for sure, and have sold some locally. Hopefully this year comes with some new customers, and we wish you all the success!

I rode with the gear all last winter and works outstanding. Warm and dry all day long. It is unrestricting, comfortable, and super light, yet rugged enough to take a beating all day everyday in the trees. I'm sold on it for sure :face-icon-small-coo

Alright so whats the History with C3, im curious? Where did you guys come from, always been sledders? What made you decide to join the clothing game?
